PROFIUS showcased in Maltese science expo
Yesterday PROFIUS project coordinator for AquaBioTech Group attended Xjenza Malta Research & Innovation EXPO in the beautiful Villa Bighi (Kalkara, Malta). The event showcased all the Maltese research projects funded by Xjenza closed in 2024. Dr Simona Paolacci disseminated the results of PROFIUS to a large audience of people coming from academia, industry and policy entities. Simona Paolacci was also invited to the Panel discussion “Green and Blue Research: Paving Malta’s Path to Sustainability” which featured, along with PROFIUS, other four very interesting projects.
Attendees had a unique opportunity to experience live demonstrations, view prototypes, and engage with industry experts and researchers. Two parallel thematic panel discussions addressed these transformative sectors, with a concluding general panel where panelists and attendees discussed how these projects are contributing to Malta’s national progress.
The EXPO provided an excellent platform for networking with researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, and policymakers and disseminate the results of PROFIUS.
